Step-by-step explanation:
As, they all are consecutive and odd
The equation = x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 39
X represent the first number and also the smallest one
X + 2 is the 2nd number, it’s consecutive and odd so we need to add 2
X + 4 is the 3rd number, it’s consecutive and odd to (x+2) so we will just add 2 more = x + 2 +2 = x +4
So x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 39
3x + 6 = 39
3x = 39 – 6
3x = 33
x = 11
So smallest number = 11
And x + 2 = 11+2 = 13 (second number)
And x + 4 = 11 + 4 = 15 ( third number )
So only because u asked for the smallest
So it’s 11
