so,
5th term = a + (5 – 1)d
where, a is the first term, and d is the common difference.
a = -12 ( first term )
d = 5 ( -7 – (-12 ) = -7 + 12 = 5 )
so,
5th term :
=》 -12 + (5 – 1)5
=》 -12 + (4 × 5)
=》 -12 + 20
=》 8
hence, 50 th tem of the sequence is 8
