    7 cones of 1 scoop ice cream were sold.

    Let x be the number of 2 scoop ice cream and y be the number of 1 scoop ice cream

    Then

    15= 2x+ y—- eq. 1

    There were 11 cones sold.

    and x+ y = 11— eq.2

    11-x= y

    15= 2x+ y  

    Putting value of y from eq.2 in eq. 1

    15= 2x + 11-x

    15= x+11

    15- 11= x

    x= 4

    There will be 2*4=8 scoops  for 4 cones

    ie 4 cones of two scoops ice creams will be sold.

    11- 4= 7 cones

    and 7 scoops for 7 cones
