There will be apparent reduction in the weight of the apple due to buoyant force acting on it in upward direction . The magnitude of upward directing buoyant force will be equal to weight of water displaced . The weight of displaced water will remain same if it is completely submerged in water and it is moved from one point to another inside water. So in the given two cases , weight of displaced water will same . Hence the buoyant force too will remain same . Hence the apparent weight too will be same .
So force required to hold apple at deeper point inside water will remain same.
