Y=2x+2
The slope formula begins with y2-y1 over x2-x1. Then divide the answers.
This gets your slope. 2(this is y2) – -4( this is y1) is 6. 0( this is x2) – -3( this is x1) equals 3. 6 divided by three is 2. So your slope is 2.
You put this in the “m” part of the equation. And the y-intercept is easy because the second coordinate (0,2) has one so the y-intercept is 2.
So with our slope and y intercept, our equation is y=2x+2( this is slope formula).
