2x-y = 6 ————–(i)
-3x+4y = -12 ———(ii)
Multiplying equation (i) by 4, we get
8x-4y=24 ————–(i)
-3x+4y=-12 ————(ii) By subtracting

5x= 12
x=12/5= 2.4
putting value of x in equation (I)
2*2.4-y =6
4.8-y=6
y= -6+4.8
y= – 1.2
Therefore the value of x= 2.4 and y= -1.2
