    Given: Ivan and Tanya share £150 with a 4:1 ratio.

    Let x represent the variable amount of money.

    Ivan: 4x
    Tanya: x

    4x + x = £150
    5x = 150
    x = 30

    Ivan = 4(30) = £120
    Tanya = £30

    £120 – £30 = £90

    Therefore Ivan gets £90 more than Tanya, which is four times more than Tanya.
