    Answer:

    x= -1

    y= -4

    Step-by-step explanation:

    9x-2y= -1………equation 1

    2y= 3x-5……….equation 2

    From equation 2

    2y= 3x -5

    y= 3x-5/2

    Substitute 3x-5/2 for y in equation 1

    9x -2(3x-5/2)= -1

    9x -(3x-5)= -1

    9x -3x+5= -1

    6x= -1-5

    6x= -6

    x= -6/6

    x= -1

    Substitite -1 for x in equation 2

    2y= 3(-1)-5

    2y = -3-5

    2y = -8

    y = -8/2

    y= -4

    Hence x = -1 and y= -4
