Hi, there! I’d love to help you out!
We know complementary angles add up to 90 degrees.
Let’s say our first angle is x:
x = first angle
It tells us the other angle is 68 degrees more. So we are just adding 68 to our other angle:
x = first angle
x + 68 = second angle
Now add the two and set it equal to 90 degrees:
x + x + 68 = 90
2x + 68 = 90
-68 -68
2x = 22
/2 /2
x = 11 first angle
x + 68 = 11 +68 = 79 degrees second angle
I hope this explanation helps you . (by the way is there a picture?)
