    4x – 6y = 0 say equation ….1

    and given

    2x + 5y = 11 say equation ….2

    to solve by eliminating methods,

    multiply equation….2 by 2 and subtract from ….1

    i.e

    4x – 6y =0

    4x + 10y= 22

    0+ (-)16y = – 22

    y = -22/-16

    y = 11/ 8

    to get , x put y in either equation 1 or 2

    I.e x= 11/4

    this value of x and y satisfy both equations
