So, 3.79 to the nearest tenth would be 3.8
Why? How?
To round, you have to convert the farthest right value, which is 5 or higher, to one and add it to it’s previous. So, 9 is higher than 5, could be 5, but can change to 1 and be added to it’s previous 7 making 7 8, and that’s how we get 3.8 (8 being the tenth of the decimal…hope I’m making sense. it’s just the rules, how it works, and how I can explain it).
