Doing voluntary work brings a lot of benefits to young people. Volunteering is a way to gain a lot of skills that can be transferred to the workplace. These skills include; confidence, communication, responsibility, teamwork and innovation. Becoming a volunteer will also provide them with experience which is great for personal gain, but it will also be a good addition to their CVs as it will help them to stand out, as it has allowed them to network and meet new people and more opportunities. Most importantly, from the process of volunteering, young people will gain a sense of personal satisfaction gained by assisting another person which will enhance their social awareness.
