## Answers ( )

ANSWER: (3,4)

Explanation: multiply both sides of the equation by -1

Sum the equations vertically to eliminate at least one variable so you should be left with 6x=18

Then divide by 6 on both sides

Substitute the value of x

Solve the equation

So you should have 4×3-5y=-8

Y=4

Then plug in the values you got, (3,4) into the original systems to see if what the values you got makes the statement true

Answer: x=3 and y=4 or (3,4)
