Based on the fact that the liquid in the flask stayed unchanged for many months, this only partly provides evidence against the idea of spontaneous generation.

    What is spontaneous generation?

Spontaneous generation refers to the idea that microbes and can form from nonliving materials. Pasteur proved this to be wrong when he removed dust from the liquid in the flask. This led to the water staying clear which showed that microbes can’t materialize out of nonliving things but instead need a vehicle to convey them which was the dust.
However, this is not proof that spontaneous generation never happened. They just never happened with the conditions that Pasteur experienced. The conditions on Earth millions of years ago might have allowed for spontaneous generation while the current conditions don’t.
