linear momentum is the mass times the velocity, the equation is written as P=mv. This only works if an object is traveling in a straight line (not a curve of ellips).
Angular momentum Is a little different. It works for objects traveling in a circular trajectory. It is the mass times velocity times radius (radius of the circal you are traveling in). It is written as L=mvr.
