    Mg+H2SO4 —-》MgSO4+H2

    so calculate the moles of magnesium first

    moles of magnesium = given mass of mg/molar mass of magnesium

    moles = 4/24.30

    moles = 0.1646

    One mole of magnesium produces one mole of magnesium sulphate

    so 0.1646 moles of mg will produce 0.1646 moles of MgSO4

    Mass of MgSO4 = 0.1646× 120.366

    MgSO4 = 19.81 gm

    conclusion the mass of magnesium sulphate that would be obtained from 4g of

    magnesium is 19.81 gm!!
