  1. No the value of the 9 in hundreds place is not ten times as great as the value of the 3 in tens place.
    We have been given the number 1934 which can be written as
    Thousands Hundreds Tens Ones
          1                 9            3             4
    Or, 1000 + 900 + 30 + 4
    Now the pace value of 9 = 900
    And the pace value of 3 is  = 30
    As we can see that ,
                                        30 * 10 = 300   which is not equal to 900.
    But ,    30 * 30 = 900 which is equal to 9 in hundreds place
    Hence we can say that 9 in hundreds place is not ten times as great as the value of the 3 in tens place. But it is 30 times great as the value of the 3 in tens place.
